As an intern carpenter I worked alongside other carpentry interns and the technical direction team to construct the set. This involved both constructing pieces onsite, as well as installing scenic pieces constructed at an offsite scene shop.
Second Story
We constructed a second level with joists across stud walls. Stairs led up to the second story onstage, with lower platforming stage right and left providing access from offstage and onstage to the onstage stairs.

Escape Stairs
Escape stairs with a middle platform breaking up the flights, so the stairs could turn to fit in the space.

Pit Extension
A platforming extension over the orchestra pit. This extension was built around the large central revolve, which went to the downstage edge of the stage floor

Guardrail
I took the lead on installing a guardrail for the second story on the downstage edge. This was constructed with angle iron posts, and tensioned aircraft cable between the posts to provide a safeguard without much visual distraction.
